AWS has recently emerged as a leading company in the area of soil cleaning and recycling. AWS started operations in 2001 at Sint-Katelijne-Waver, near Brussels, and then set up a second a second location two years later in the dock area of Gent. In 2005 AWS expanded internationally and formed companies in London for the UK and Ireland market and near Paris, France.
In 2006 a joint venture with Boskalis-Dolman, a Dutch soil remediation company, provided AWS with access to cutting-edge technology in the field of soil cleaning and strengthened its position in the European market.
AWS recycles all the materials produced by the cleaning processes and through, NV Stabozand, develops new materials for use in the road-building and construction industries.
